Majorettes

WFNBTMA is a partnership between both Baton Twirling and Majorettes recognizing the unique yet linked pathways between the two equally valuable participants!

Majorettes are a vital and respected part of the global baton twirling community. Rooted in tradition, cultural expression, and athletic performance, majorette disciplines reflect the diversity of movement, style, and identity found across countries and communities worldwide.

WFNBTMA recognizes majorettes as athletes, performers, and leaders. Our role is to support majorette programs at every stage of development - whether at the grassroots level, within community and school programs, or on the world stage.

Inclusive by Design

WFNBTMA is committed to ensuring that majorette participation is accessible to all athletes, regardless of country, background, or financial means. We believe opportunity in sport should never be limited by geography or resources. Our framework is designed to welcome developing programs while also supporting established majorette traditions.

Development Without Barriers

We support the long-term growth of majorette athletes by:

  • Encouraging age-appropriate skill development and athlete well-being

  • Supporting education pathways for coaches, judges, and administrators

  • Establishing clear, transparent competition standards and judging protocols

  • Assisting national organizations in building sustainable structures that serve athletes at every level

Our philosophy is simple: excellence and enjoyment can - and should - coexist.

Athlete Safety & Wellbeing

Athlete safety is paramount. WFNBTMA prioritizes safeguarding, ethical leadership, and respectful participation across all majorette activities. Every athlete deserves to train and compete in an environment that protects their physical and emotional well-being.

Participation is Success

Winning is not the sole measure of achievement. Participation, progress, and personal growth are equally valued. WFNBTMA’s approach ensures that no athlete is left behind - whether competing locally, nationally, or internationally.

Build Strong Communities

Majorette programs do more than develop athletes - they build confidence, discipline, teamwork, and leadership. WFNBTMA is committed to helping athletes grow into positive, engaged members of their communities, carrying the values of sport beyond the performance space.

Majorettes belong here. WFNBTMA is proud to support their present, protect their future, and elevate their place within the global twirling community.
